WSDOT announced multiple highway construction and closure projects affecting Walla Walla-area routes that will continue through mid-September.

The northbound I-405 will close from Northeast 85th Street on-ramp to Northeast 100th Street from 11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 28, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31. The southbound I-405 will be closed from milepost 12 to Coal Creek Parkway Southeast (milepost 10) overnight from 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4. I-5 will see nightly single-lane reductions near Alger/Lake Samish Road (exit 240) from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 31, through Friday morning, Sept. 4, and northbound I-5 will have left lane closures from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly Sunday, Aug. 30, through Friday morning, Sept. 4.

State Route 4 will have single-lane closures weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. between 50th Avenue (milepost 56. 4) and 42nd Avenue (milepost 57. 2) through Sept. 11. State Route 99 will close the right lane from Russell Way/North Manor Way to Gibson Road (milepost 51) from 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, to Tuesday, Sept. 1, for utilities work.
