Michelle Carpenter, principal of Walla Walla Center for Children and Families, shared details about her background and interests in the series.“Michelle Carpenter, Walla Walla Center for Children and Families What did you want to be when you grew up? A teacher. ALWAYS a teacher, just like my mom! What was your favorite subject in school? Math. What is one thing students might be surprised to learn about you? I have lived in Alaska, Texas, California, Virginia, and Washington. What is your favorite hobby or way to spend your free time? Cross-stitching on my patio with my husband, Michael, and our dogs. If you could have dinner with any famous person, living or historical, who would it be? Both sets of my grandparents. What is your hidden talent? I can play piano, violin, and percussion! If you weren’t a principal, what career would you choose? At this point in my life, either a greeter at Disney World or a full-time RVer, maybe BOTH at the same time!”
