Walla Walla Public Schools announced a new co-ed flag football program for 4th- and 5th-grade students, running October 5 through November 6. The program, funded by levy money and the 21st Century Afterschool Program, provides all equipment and costs with only cleats required from families.

The program includes practices on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2:45–4:30 p.m., with no activities on Wednesdays. Registration opens September 9 and closes September 20, with options for English and Spanish registration. Coaches are also needed, with no prior experience required and a stipend provided.
