Jessica Johnson, a Walla Walla High School agriculture teacher, has been awarded the Honorary American FFA Degree by the National FFA Organization, the highest honor given to non-member individuals, the district announced on August 25, 2026.
Johnson, recognized for her contributions to agricultural education and FFA programs at Walla Walla High School and nationally, will be formally honored at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana, in October. The National FFA Organization cited her dedication to developing future agricultural leaders and her support for students through the FFA program.
In a letter to Johnson, National FFA CEO Scott Stump praised her commitment, stating the organization 'continues to grow and make a difference in the lives of our members nationwide thanks to dedicated and outstanding individuals like you.'
