Walla Walla Transit Adjusts Routes for Construction

Route 9 will deviate around a road closure on Pine Street between 2nd Avenue and 9th Avenue starting August 10, 2026, according to Valley Transit. The detour is expected to last through summer 2027, with temporary bus stops placed on 13th Avenue and Cherry Street.

Valley Transit will also provide a free shuttle to the County Fair from September 2 through September 6, departing from the Transit Center every 15 minutes between 6:15 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. on weekdays and 2:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. on weekends.
